FAQs

  • We came up with “JNMona” by combining Jay and Mona.

  • When Mona first started making doll clothes, she was living in France, so it felt natural to go with a French name. She chose “mienne”, which means “mine”, to capture the feeling of having a cherished, personal doll - something you truly love and enjoy.
And she thought the pronunciation was CUTE too. Don’t you agree? :)

  • It’s been 10years since we opened La Mienne doll and we felt it was time to redefine the brand’s identity and take the next step for business expansion, so we decided to create this space.

  • We are FLEXIBLE. If you have a preferred shipping carrier, you can choose it.
However, the shipping cost may change. Let us know the carrier’s name, the items you want to order, and the delivery address, and we’ll check the shipping cost with the carrier and inform you.

  • This isn’t a question that can be answered in just a few sentences. hahaha. I try my best.

Mona design based on Mona’s favorite things, gather the materials, create a mock-up, and complete a sample.
Depending on the situation, We may revise, remake the mock-up, and produce another sample. This entire process typically takes anywhere from a month to as long as two years. no joke.LOL.
Some materials are custom-made or dyed to achieve the perfect color match. Once a sample is finalized, We can complete about one outfit per week.
A significant amount of time goes into hand-stitching, but we also use sewing machines. We have four different types: a swing machine, a semi-industrial machine, and overlock machine, and a computerized embroidery machine.
